Through snakey dildos, setting boundaries and a journey through a mind bending forest, we follow Siro’s quest for self discovery.

Discovery is a film by Inari Sirola that SEED Animation commissioned through our pilot scheme called Fresh AIR - an Artist In Residence scheme that invites emerging animators to create a short film based on a one-word brief, ‘Discovery’. Fresh AIR aims to provide new artists with a platform to explore a theme, while working in a nurturing environment. The films are intended to reflect that creative freedom.
Incorporating Inari’s trademark style and intriguing outlook on life, her film peels all the flimflam off toxic masculinity and reveals the bare reality behind it.

“Welcome to the mind of Inari Sirola and her brand new exhibition: ‘Hot Dog’.
This is a show that explores our stereotypes towards beauty expressed through the medium of (wait for it) hot dogs. ..not the delicious treat with a sausage no. We mean dogs, like - actual dogs. Woof.
Topics and questions such as “what is beautiful” have been approached with humour, creating an experience and igniting conversation whilst of course simply enjoying the ridiculous pun behind it all.”
Thank You Stour Space for hosting the event and serving hot dogs during the show! How amazing.
Music on the night:
Live performance by Fang Night and night DJ biLLLy.
Thank you -
Peter Jarrett, Phi Wolff, Morgan Williams, Will Brown, Fred Deeds, Coby Walsh, Lydia Handford, Kiira and Riitta Sirola, Billy Brooks, Ewa Lefmann and everyone who joined the opening night or went to see the exhibition while it was on.
